The politics of Food Quality and Safety

The Quality and Food Safety Policy of Sociedade Vinícola de Palmela is communicated, implemented, maintained, and periodically reviewed at all levels of the organization, and is based on the following premises:

  • Safeguarding the provision of necessary human and financial resources for the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Enhancing interactive communication with all employees as well as with all links in the food chain.
  • Valuing the requirements of our customers and respecting regulatory, statutory, and legal requirements.
  • Achieving levels of product quality and food safety recognized by customers and suppliers.
  • Promoting the improvement of skills and specific training for company employees.
  • Motivating and mobilizing all employees to ensure the adequate implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Encouraging the involvement of all employees in the identification, recording, and treatment of non-conformities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring respect for the environment and sustainability at all stages of the process.
  • Building the company on policies that promote ethics and actions of social responsibility and support for the local economy.
  • Implementing, disseminating, maintaining, and periodically reviewing this policy.

Aligned with these premises, Quality and Food Safety Objectives (Rg.042) have been defined and periodically monitored through Rg.041Monitoring of Quality and Food Safety Objectives.

The plan for managing the Quality and Food Safety Culture is defined and monitored in Rg.097 - Quality and Food Safety Culture Plan.
